I first got in touch with Sheryl while working on our first fashion tech startup, but it was months later when I finally got to meet her in person at Fashion Island during an event for Sperry. I truly admire her work–from the styling, editorial images, and her professionalism.
Being one of the first fashion bloggers, her website was still hosted by Blogger. I knew that we needed to transfer her from Blogger to a more sophisticated platform and to a responsive website.
In laying out the landing page for Walk in Wonderland, I wanted to give Sheryl the ability to have 2 thumbnails for her blog post covers. This allows her to provide different angles and outfit details.
Although we opted to forgo the sidebar for the landing page, she has a customizable sticky side bar for the blog post. This allows her to add sidebar content for a specific blog post.
With Blogger, Sheryl’s images had to be resized. For the website redesign, I wanted to maintain image quality without sacrificing page load time.
